Betasso Loop is located in the canyon just west of Boulder, Colorado. This trail head is for the Canyon Link Trail which connects to the Canyon Loop Trail in Betasso Preserve.

| Those riding or hiking the Canyon Link Trail will have a very technical and steep initial ascent. Don't let this worry you. In a quarter of a mile the trail becomes much easier.

| After the initial climb you enjoy a flat and hard packed section of trail, which is very characteristic of the single track you will ride on the Canyon Loop.

| For those who choose to drive to the upper trail head and start the Canyon Loop; they are rewarded with beautiful views that appear to come right out of a history book.

| I hike this trail in February, which is still winter. This is also a canyon trail so expect to see lots of snow and ice on the trail this time of year.

Sections of trail that do get sun are extremely wet and muddy this time of year. I would advise against riding this trail until the trail hardens. Knowing this I decided to hike the trail instead of riding my bike; saving the trail from a lot of damage and me from hours of bike cleaning.

| Canyon Loop is near Boulder, CO which is full of outdoor enthusiasts. Even on the worst day you can expect to see other hikers and riders on this short trail.
