In 1999 the idea of a website that caters to Colorado mountain biking enthusiasts was discussed by three college students and friends while eating a really cheap, rather disgusting pizza. By the end of the night TrailCentral.com was on the verge of creation. The only obstacle was that none of the 3 people who wanted to make this website knew a thing about HTML. A week later $50 was spent on a really lousy piece of software that helped us create our first web page (I think it took about 3 minutes to load). Like I said, none of us knew what we were doing. Over the next several years, while studying and mountain biking, we upgraded our software and started to learn more about what makes websites work. Over the next several years the website started to grow, the number of unique visits started to skyrocket, and our knowledge of website design improved significantly. At the same time, one of the original founders graduated from CU and started his own business in Denver, CO, while another started making bags of cash selling on eBay, which left me (Brady) as the sole owner and manager of a successful website.

Flash ahead 10 years...
The site has been running for 10 years and it seems like a lifetime ago when I bought that piece of software to make TrailCentral. A lot has happened in the last decade, including a short hiatius from working on TrailCentral. I have once again found a spot in my calendar and my heart to dust the cob webs off and prime the engine so TrailCentral.com can be brought back to its former glory. I figure this site has helped tens of thousands of people find more enjoyment in an already enjoyable sport and that is what is keeping me motivated.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to contribute to this site and as always thanks for visiting TrailCentral.com.
